I havent posted here for ages but if any Ringers are based in the UK and want to go to the London Premier of the Hobbit on Weds 12th December then tickets have just gone up for sale..
You have to sign up for membership at the following website (£25 for silver membership) then you can buy tickets through the online store

Pre Premiere Reception at the Hampshire Hotel on Leicester Square: 5pm – 6.15pm
In the presence of members of the Royal Family, cast and filmmakers (full details to be disclosed closer to the date).
Academy Award® winner Sir Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”, the first of three films in his epic adaptation of the enduringly popular masterpiece, has been selected for the 65th Royal Film Performance.
The trilogy of films are set in Middle-earth 60 years before “The Lord of the Rings.” Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey, with Martin Freeman in the central role of Bilbo Baggins, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel; Ian Holm as the elder Bilbo; Christopher Lee as Saruman; Hugo Weaving as Elrond; Elijah Wood as Frodo; and Andy Serkis as Gollum.
Tickets will be on sale to CTBF Members from Wednesday 10th October directly from THE ONLINE STORE. Limited to 4 per member ticket purchases will be strictly monitored.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and two remaining films in the trilogy are productions of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, with New Line managing production. Warner Bros. Pictures is handling worldwide theatrical distribution, with select international territories as well as all international television distribution being handled by MGM.
“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” will be released beginning December 14, 2012, with the second film, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” releasing beginning December 13, 2013, and the third film, “The Hobbit: There and Back Again” slated for July 18, 2014.
