Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming thriller The Stranger which will land on the streaming service on 30 January and looks set to be a gripping watch.
It looks like fans of murder mystery will be happy with this new binge-worthy series that's based on Harlan Coben's best-selling novel which shares the same name.
The Stranger will follow Adam Price, a man who discovers a life-changing secret about his wife Corinne, which leaves him questioning everything he thought he knew about her.
When the dad-of-two is approached by a woman in a bar calling herself the stranger - complete with a shifty-looking baseball cap - he delves into his wife's secret life and ends up unravelling a conspiracy that could threaten to tear his whole family apart.
It's set to leave us asking: how well do we really know the people closest to us?
The official trailer opens with happy clips of the Price family on car trips and fooling around at home, before cutting to the stranger telling Adam: "You didn't have to stay with her you know."
The stranger then reveals Corinne's secret - that she was never pregnant and has lied to him.
"Who are you and why are you saying this?" Adam asks, to which she replies: "Think of me as a stranger. A stranger that knows."
The series stars Spooks actor Richard Armitage as Adam and Dervla Kirwan as his wife Corinne. Meanwhile, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and The Wasp) will play the main character, described by Netflix as 'a mysterious stranger who exposes people's secrets, dropping bombshells that will shatter lives'.
Alongside the A-list actors, TV favourite Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) will play the character of Heidi, best friend to Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran, who plays DS Johanna Griffin.
Other actors to appear in the show are Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones), Anthony Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and Kadiff Kirwan (Call the Midwife).
Fans are already excited, with one writing: "So Netflix has a new show called The Stranger and I noticed Hannah John-Kamen on sight. I wanted to see her again after her performance as Ghost in Ant-Man and now I can. Yippie".
The eight-part series was filmed around Manchester, Bolton and Stockport from March until August last year and it will land on Netflix on 30 January.

Netflix has released the first trailer for its new eight-part thriller The Stranger, starring Richard Armitage and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Anthony Head.
Based on the novel by Harlan Coben, The Stranger stars Armitage as family man Adam Price, whose ideal life crumbles when a chance encounter with a mysterious woman in a diner entangles him in a conspiracy.
The trailer shows Adam sitting alone at a bar before he's confronted by a stranger (Ant-Man and the Wasp's Hannah John-Kamen) who tells him that his wife faked her pregnancy.
The revelation is only the beginning of Adam's troubles as he gets drawn into a world of intrigue and danger.
The miniseries also stars Downton Abbey's Siobhan Finneran as DS Johanna Griffin who will find her pragmatic approach to police work compromised when her investigation into the matter becomes deeply personal.
Jennifer Saunders takes on her biggest-ever dramatic role as Johanna's best friend Heidi, a bubbly adventure-seeker looking for some excitement now that her daughter has gone off to university.
The cast also includes Academy Award nominee Stephen Rea, Broadchurch's Shaun Dooley, Game of Thrones veteran Paul Kaye, Strike Back: Retribution's Dervla Kirwan and Black Mirror actor Kadiff Kirwan.
The Stranger will arrive on Netflix later this year.
