Just a preview of the coolest people from the county
Leicestershire has both created and raised some of the best and brightest stars.
Our county never fails to bring new talent into the world of music, acting and comedy.
But who is the coolest? We compiled a list of 11 people we think are the coolest of the cool. The ice cold legends from our county.
Disagree with us? Think we should have added someone else? Let us know in the comments.
Richard Armitage
The well-known actor is famous for starring in a number of films such as the Hobbit, starring as Thorin Oakenshield, and BBC dramas such as Robin Hood.
Originally from Huncote in the county, the actor continues to feature in a number of film and theatre productions to this day. I mean look at him. He's cool.

One of the coolest people in the country, Sir David is perhaps one of the country's most valued national treasures and has done tons of work on nature documentaries.

One of the UK's best fashion gurus, Gok is one of the county's jewels that we're proud of claiming.
He helps people with body issues feel confident and has worked with tons of celebrities.
He was originally born in Leicester and and has since presented tons of documentaries.
Stephen Graham
Actor Stephen Graham
The Leicestershire legend himself. Who wasn't born in Leicestershire. Stephen has risen high in the acting sphere recently, specfically with his role in the hit drama Line of Duty and is set to star in the new Venom film.
He lives in Ibstock and is perhaps one of the coolest people on this list.
Gary Lineker

How could we forget to put Gary on this list? The Leicester-born legend is famous for being one of the best sports presenters on TV today.
Back in his younger years, he was also pretty good at football too.

The late Monty Python star still remains one of the 'old school cool' legends to this day.
The comedian, writer, actor and author was one of six members of Monty Python, playing the lead in Holy Grail and most famously The Life of Brian.
He was born in Leicester and raised in Melton. The strong supporter of gay rights died of cancer in 1989 just ahead of the 20th anniversary of Monty Python.
Sergio Pizzorno and Tom Meighan

We grouped these two musical legends together because they are just as cool as each other.
The Kasabian band members are perhaps the city's most well-known band and have performed legendary gigs in Leicester.
We just couldn't leave them off this list.
Mark Morrison

Yes, it’s been a long time since his number 1 hit Return of the Mack, but Mark Morrison is still one of the most successful R&B artists to date.
Despite being born in Germany, he was raised in Leicester. He has received a number of awards and nominations. All received whilst wearing his shades. Because he's still awesome.
