So sehe ich das auch! Man darf halt nicht vergessen, dass das ne Family show ist und eben KEIN hochdramatisches, kulturell wertvolles Drama. Aber in einem Zeitungsartikel stand auch schon, wer Dr. Who mochte und LotR, der sollte sich auch mal RH anschauen !

The first of an entertaining new series bringing the legend of Robin Hood back to the small screen. The story begins with Robin of Locksley returning home from the Crusades with his former manservant, Much, to find Nottingham in the grip of a tyrannical new Sheriff (Keith Allen, obviously enjoying himself), who is spreading suffering and privation for miles around. It looks flawless (even the wenches' knowingly modern make-up), with a rousing cinematic-style soundtrack, but there's a touch of Children's Film Foundation about this that makes one expect a young Keith Chegwin to pop up at any moment.

And now along comes another hugely entertaining revival - Robin Hood.

This is above all fun. It's done with an unfailingly light touch, packed with exciting action, moments of romance and plenty of gags. The dialogue and attitudes are cheerfully anachronistic - as is the immaculate make-up of the female characters, all of them stunners, none of them able to resist the heart-throb Robin.

There's just a hint of subtext - equating the Crusades with the US's current ventures in the Middle East - but it's easily ignored. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

Langsam wird echt zuviel mit den Artikel, die ja im Grunde alle das Gleiche sagen. Nur, wenn man's nicht mehr liest, läuft man Gefahr, einen genialen Spruch von/über Richard zu verpassen. Und morgen dann noch ein Schwung Sonntagszeitungen ! Aber da die Kritiker Folge ein schon gesehen haben, erwarte ich mir keine neuen Erkenntnisse. Einschaltquoten sollen wohl gut sein und das BBC-Messageboard ist auch kein Maßstab, da bereits von C19 unterwandert. Man muß echt die nächsten Wochen abwarten...
