Buon Giorno!
Perhaps you'll agree that the world feels a little different since our June newsletter. On June 1, there was great anticipation about the launch of HANNIBAL's third season on June 4; today there is great anxiety in the fandom over the future of the show. There is no getting around the fact that NBC's decision not to renew HANNIBAL for a fourth season dealt us a major setback, but rest assured that showrunner Bryan Fuller, our production partner Gaumont, and the entire team are doing everything we can to find another home for the show and our passionate family of fans. We appreciate the outpouring of support you have shown with your campaigns to #SaveHannibal. We see you, and we celebrate you. We will leave no stone unturned.
That said, I always am one to focus on the positive. There still is plenty of reason for excitement about the remaining nine episodes of HANNIBAL Season 3. They are among the finest we have produced. We move into uncharted territory as we further explore the characters' complex relationships, especially that between Hannibal and Will. Beginning on July 23, we launch the Red Dragon storyline, which will continue until the Season 3 finale. Richard Armitage's portrayal of Francis Dolarhyde is nothing short of spellbinding
