Ein "wealthy Wall Street guy" in Lumpen wäre doch mal etwas. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass das mal wieder eine Rolle für Dich ist, Anne.

Den Lumpenlook hat er am Ende von TC doch schon so herrlich gerockt- und jedes der Löcher in den Lumpen hat seine wohlgeformte Gestalt nur um so mehr betont .

Habe gestern das Buch bekommen .... nun werde ich erstmal Chop wieder zu Ende lesen und dann kommt The BigMan

Dieses Bild drängt sich einem dabei doch förmlich auf, oder?

Bin schon auf das Buch gespannt und freue mich auf Eure Berichte. Chop liegt übrigens auch noch bei mir auf Halde. OH hat es gerade verschlungen und war komplett begeistert. Nun hofft auch er, dass er den Film irgenwann (mit anderen Worten: bald) mal sehen kann...

Chop lese ich jetzt zum 3. Mal....es ist zu traurig und teilweise lustig schön.... es ist wunderbar geschrieben.
Ja, auf das Buch Brain On Fire bin ich gespannt... werde wohl nächste Woche dazu kommen

Carrie-Anne Moss and Richard Armitage are joining the cast of Gerard Barrett’s Brain On Fire opposite Chloe Grace Moretz. Broad Green Pictures made the announcement today in partnership with Denver & Delilah and Foundation Features. The project is based on Susannah Cahalan’s critically acclaimed memoir about a rising journalist (Moretz) at the New York Post who mysteriously starts having seizures and hearing voices. As weeks go by and Susannah rapidly descends into insanity, she moves inexplicably from violence to catatonia. Following a series of outbursts, misdiagnoses and a prolonged hospital stay, a lucky last-minute intervention by one doctor finally gives her a diagnosis and hope to rebuild her life.

Brain on Fire is currently in production in Vancouver and set for release in 2016. Moss (The Matrix) and Armitage (Captain America) will play Susannah’s parents, Tom Cahalan and Rhona Nack.

With Chloe Moretz in place – taking over from a suddenly busy Dakota Fanning – as the lead in Brain On Fire, the rest of the cast is being announced. Richard Armitage and Carrie-Anne Moss are the latest recruits.

Brain On Fire has been adapted from Susannah Cahalan’s memoir, which was subtitled My Month Of Madness. The book chronicles Cahalan’s real-life experiences being diagnosed with a mystery illness that left her labelled psychotic, violent, and a dangerous flight risk. She woke up alone in a hospital room confined to the bed, unable to speak or move and with no memory of what happened. In the maelstrom, she’d lost everything: a promising newspaper career and her first serious relationship, and it took an intuitive doctor, a lot of strength and the support of her family to get through it.

And now we know who will be making up the key components of that family, as Armitage is playing her father, Tom Cahalan, while Moss is her mother, Rhona Nack. Gerard Barrett is calling the shots on the film in Vancouver, with Charlize Theron involved as a producer via her Denver & Delilah alongside Foundation Features. It should be in cinemas next year.

Armitage will next be seen as the terrifying Francis Dolarhyde AKA The Red Dragon on the current, and sadly likely final, season of TV’s Hannibal. Moss has worked on horror thriller Frankenstein (not the James McAvoy/Daniel Radcliffe film) and is part of the cast for Marvel/Netflix’s next superhero show, Jessica Jones.

Carrie-Anne Moss and Richard Armitage will join the cast of the indie drama “Brain on Fire,” opposite Chloe Grace Moretz.

Moss and Armitage (“The Hobbit”) will play the parents of Moretz’s character. Jenny Slate and Thomas Mann also star in the film.

“Brain on Fire,” directed by Gerard Barrett (“Glassland”), is currently in production in Vancouver and slated for release in 2016.

“Brain on Fire” follows a rising journalist at the New York Post who mysteriously starts having seizures and hearing voices. As weeks go by, she moves inexplicably from violence to catatonia, but a last-minute intervention by one doctor finally gives her a diagnosis and hope to rebuild her life.

Broad Green Pictures is producing and financing the pic in partnership with Charlize Theron’s Denver and Delilah banner, along with Foundation Features.

Theron has been developing the project, based on Susannah Cahalan’s memoir “Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness,” since last year. Producers are Theron, A.J. Dix and Beth Kono of Denver and Delilah, along with Rob Merilees and Lindsay Macadam of Foundation Features.
