NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Audible.com's two production arms, Audible Studios and ACX, received 24 nominations for the 2016 Audie Awards, which honor outstanding audiobooks and other spoken-word performances. Audible has finalists in twelve different categories. Winners will be announced by the Audio Publishers Association at the Audies Gala on May 11, 2016, in Chicago.
"We are thrilled that so many of our high-quality productions have been recognized this year," said Audible EVP and Publisher Beth Anderson. "We are particularly proud that three Audible titles have been named as finalists in the "Original Work" category for the third year in a row. Four of our titles were named as finalists in the "Audio Drama" category. Both of these categories continue to offer rich opportunities for us to expand the range of listening experiences to deliver to our customers."
Among the highlights of this year's Audie finalists for Audible:

Bestselling author Jeffery Deaver's The Starling Project, an original production performed by Alfred Molina and a full cast, and featuring state-of-the-art sound design and an original music score, in the "Audio Drama" category.

People's Choice Award-winning actor David Tennant and Screen Actors Guild Awards-nominated actress Rose Leslie, along with a full cast, for their performance of an audio adaptation of J. Sheridan Le Fanu's classic gothic novella, Carmilla, in the "Original Work" category.
All five nominees in the "Erotica" category are produced by Audible Studios and ACX
